Divergence
Syed Jamal Shah
Have you ever noticed that anybody driving slower than you is an idiot, and anyone going faster than you is a maniac?
Divergence plays a vital
role in shaping
human life, changing
their behavior according
to needs, yields racism, class division
and product of economic misbalance. Today, our society
is passing from an era where aggression, intolerance, extremism, hate speech, irrational
narratives are traits. Countering
the above issue are endemics when groups
and
individual are busy in their personal gains for material things. Divergence is force designed to
push
people into society for the roles
waiting to be
occupied.
Social
status isn’t just about the
cars we drive, the money we
make or the school we attend-it’s also about how
we feel, think and act. This
is a process of looking for options,
new
ideas to explore and find new things. We
are living in heterogeneous
society, where the line of thinking, ideologies, style, fashion, colors, linguistic, education, selection, employment loaf of bread, citizenships is different in individuals
or groups. These elements have divided mankind
groups & individual
in various quality of level in
said elements, some are good, half are average, remaining are
poor, each class
has their own set of rules or
custom for a criterion. Combine they are
unable to cross standards;
the standards of measurement
in society to obtain Targets. Although with the passage
of time these elements shape their
personalities, culture & behavior of individual or
groups in society.
Divergence is breathing in their social circle but they are slumbering & unaware of the root
cause. due to it, conflict can happen in groups, when one
person is diverging and another is converging, the end result is that they are going in different
direction, the crisis is
getting birth, splitting them into classes, discouraging their positive potential, kills enlightenment & stops their advocacy will to do good. In conflict,
the interests of
group intersect
at certain points of their need.
PRESTIGE IS THE SHADOW OF MONEY AND POWER IN SOCIETY.
Notwithstanding,
according to the spectrum of knowledge of Sages, Saints, Yogis,
eastern as well as western philosopher’s considering & labelling divergence as ‘Beauty’, Also, they give references from monotheistic school of religions, if we observe deeply the
history, beliefs
and holy scriptures divergence had added flavor’s & color’s to life
in monotheism. According
to Abrahamic
religions, everything exists
in pairs Adam
and Eve, angel and
evil, sagacious and
cheater, virtuous and sinner; one against pagans; tranquility
is in
good not in bad
evils. So; knowing
& highlighting positive & negative is
the atmosphere of divergence.
Nature
is the best example
of divergence e.g., if
a crocodile is a big fish
in the pond then the shark is bigger fish
in the
sea,
furthermore, animals
in nature
are
available in
groups of reptiles, amphibians, herbivorous, carnivorous, vertebrate, birds same
in plants. Diversification
exists before mankind landing on Planet, giving us
clear signs of divergence that Creator likes variety.
However, in the
course of human evolution
divergence lies
in different aspects. The rural environment has different life style
compared to an urban life
style. In the beginning height then
skin colour then nationality
then religion now classes, brands,
pre-industrial and post-industrial. Some
claims our history and culture is
the best, while others say we are enjoying blue
sky
with adequate
facilities and the remaining group
are chanting in poverty, that now, we
are
the one who have
ransom for everything
which they need by doing harsh hard work, their narratives oppose
each other consensus. The
elite by definition has power over
the rest but the economy is not
so simple-- there are some who
are more elite and have
more power, some
who are less. Economic power is a combination of wealth, income, status and occupation, access to education and health care, connections, and geographic and social
mobility. Class struggle in
capitalist
ideology is
as important as
we need to breathe
for living soul.
Freeman &
slave, Patrician
& Plebeian, lord and serf, guild-master and journeyman,
oppressor
and
oppressed stood
in constant opposition to one
another. In
spite,
communist ideology is against
capital belief,
Marxism preaches that
everything will be on equities based, no class
struggle
required to live
a normal
life, no privatization, no money, no public
property, no rich, no poor, state will own
everything. The roles
in the economy put some people in
power
over others; the economy divides people into groups
with
differing interests. Systems
of
social organization
exist to fill some
human needs.
The Global Village has certain issues
like employment vs unemployment,
Literacy vs
illiteracy, privileges vs deprived, war vs terrorism, extremism vs liberalism, narratives vs counter-narratives, religious narratives and intolerance. We have a society divided
by class: what I would call two classes of winners (owners) and one class of
losers (workers, including the unemployed). Recently, keeping this matter
on forward-facing
United
Nation has introduced MDGs (Millennium
development goals),
but still, it is not growing
as UN
projected. Many other
social organization’s working on it too, thus
with the empty hand going in different directions.
According to Professor, Paul Piff, Ph.D. in his research, ‘As people
reconstruct their days,
it’s clear that in every single decision they make
a class, class is an
essential feature’. Class affects
whether someone is going to be accepted into a particular kind of
school, their likelihood of
succeeding in that school, the kinds of
job
they have access to, the kinds of friends they’ he adds. The degree of status & power people enjoys or
lack in their daily
lives. Lower ranking
has fewer resources and
opportunities than those of relatively high rank, those who enjoys more resources and greater class status live in the
context that enhances their
personal power and
freedom. All relationships are
marked by class scrutiny in society.
A
2010 paper in Psychological Science by
KRAUS report that less educated people are
better than more educated peers at identifying emotions on faces. They are also
more
accurate at reading strangers
emotions. People with less income and education are more generous,
trusting
and
helpful than their wealthier educated counterparts.
‘To
be compassionate, you have to
carefully attend to
other people too –what they are thinking, feeling
and saying’. Patience, if
group or individuals are ready to kill
their desire then
society can lead to prosperity. Education
in true means, where
old generation can build future
for coming generation, moving forward to stability is
to listen to each other calmly. If we human beings,
consider ourselves
the
favorite creature of the Creator. Having economic power or elite status is being in an exclusive
club. People with power do
not give it away out of morality or a sense of justice.
Instead, they use
the means at their disposal to
maintain and extend their power. They
hand out jobs and positions
in society and have the
power
to discriminate based on race
(and sex) and create the kind of pyramid
they want. Culture
is at least as much
about communication as
it is about identity. To
counter poverty society needs to create jobs,
raise
the minimum wage, access to
health
care and economic security.
The society that only knows the culture of receiving and not giving promotes social
exploitation. For the creation of balance society, freedom for the
individual, Equal Opportunity, Equal rights. The balanced society would not seek to change human nature but to limit the effects of such behaviour. Within the balanced society, there must be room for all.
The Only Thing That Will
Redeem Mankind Is Cooperation
(Bartend Russell)
